Together For Growth

North Cotswolds Business Group (NCBG) has been formed to strengthen, support and represent businesses across the North Cotswolds. Developed as an idea by the Campden Business Forum and the Bourton Business Network, the organisation serves businesses from the northern boundary of Cotswold District Council down to the A40, including Northleach, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Our mission is simple: to ensure businesses in the North Cotswolds feel connected, supported and properly represented.

Why We Exist

We believe too many businesses in the North Cotswolds feel unsupported and underrepresented. Running a business can be isolating. Navigating local authority processes can be frustrating. Growth can feel harder than it should.

NCBG exists to change that.

We are building a strong business community where:

Owners and managers feel less isolated

OUR TEAM

Nick West

Nick West, had a long and successful career in advertising and marketing before selling his businesses in 2010. Since then, he has created and established the North Cotswolds Awards, as well as working on other projects with the local business community, to help maintain and develop the economic vitality of the region.

Andrew Lund-Yates

Andrew Lund-Yates. Andrew is owner of The Old New Inn and Model Village in Bourton-on-the-Water, and has been instrumental in supporting the wider business community there, setting up Bourton Business Network in 2021, where he sits as a director. A life time career in hospitality at senior and director level for the past 20 years, most of which spent living in the Cotswolds, Andrew brings a wealth of experience in the tourism field, and a is keen advocate for supporting the business community in the north Cotswolds.

Sandy Backwith

Sandy lives near Chipping Campden and is very passionate about the North Cotswolds. For the last few years, she has organised and managed the North Cotswolds Awards and has been responsible for developing them into the most prestigious business awards in the region. Sandy has previously worked with Monarch Airlines and as Marketing and Events Manager for Suzuki GB, where she ran many high profile and successful events for their Car and Motorbike Division.

Sarah Stuart

Sarah had a long and extremely successful career working in global TV/advertising and marketing operations before taking over her family business in 2023. She is now the fourth generation in her family to be Managing Director of Weston Industrial Estate, which is home to over 30 local businesses which range from small enterprises to international operations. Her role as a local business owner, as well as her close relationship with a broad cross section of other companies, provides Sarah with a unique perspective on the challenges facing companies in the region.

Richard White

Richard White is a commercially experienced accountant and strategic financial adviser at Ellingsworths, a Chipping Campden-based firm of accountants and business advisers helping business owners gain greater clarity, control, and confidence in their business and finances.
With more than 30 years’ experience across accountancy, commercial finance, and business leadership, Richard works closely with business owners who are feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or under pressure, helping them better understand their
numbers, improve decision-making, and build calmer, more structured businesses.
Richard combines strong financial expertise with real-world commercial experience and a practical, supportive approach that helps clients feel understood, informed, and more in control of the future of their business.

Liz White

Elizabeth White is co-founder of Ellingsworths, a Chipping Campden-based firm of accountants and business advisers helping business owners feel more organised, supported, and confident in their business and finances.
With more than 25 years’ experience across accountancy, finance, and business operations, Liz combines strong financial expertise with a calm, approachable, and people-focused style. She particularly enjoys working with ambitious business
owners, helping them feel reassured, understood, and confident that the financial side of their business is being properly looked after.
